User guide booking

Welcome to use Finferries’ commuter ferry booking system at booking.finferries.fi.

Register as a new user and fill in the necessary personal information. Please provide your phone number in international format, for example, +358401234567. After completing the form, select “Create account,” and you will receive a system-generated email.

Using the link in the email, create a password for yourself, and then log in to the system to start booking your journey. In the booking system you can book space for passengers, vehicles and cargo up to two weeks before your desired departure date.

  1. Harbor from Choose the port from which you’ll be departing.
  2. Harbor to: Select the port you’re heading to.
  3. Departure date: Pick your travel date. Note that booking can be made up to two weeks in advance.
  4. Passengers: Specify the number of passengers in your group.
  5. Vehicle type/cargo type: If you travel with a vehicle, choose the type that best matches your vehicle size or cargo batch dimensions from the list. In addition, please write the dimensions and masses of the vehicle or cargo batch in the Additional Information text field.
  6. Add options:
    • Indicate whether you’re traveling with pets or transporting dangerous goods.
    • Please let us know if you need barrier-free access or assistance from the crew.
    • If it’s an official animal transport or if you’re a farm vet on official duty.
    • On the Utö route, you can also indicate how many people in your group plan to eat at the restaurant.
  • In the Additional information -text field, additional information is written according to the vehicle type. For all vehicles, the registration number, make and model of the car are indicated here. Please inform if the cargo in the trailer exceeds the cargo space. For cargo batches, the amount, dimensions, and weight must be indicated.

Once you’ve entered the information, choose the most suitable journey from the system’s offerings.

Select “CONTINUE.” The system will then display a summary of your booking. Accept the terms and conditions and click “CONFIRM“. You’ll receive a message confirming that your booking request has been received.

The captain will process your booking request promptly, either approving or rejecting it. You’ll receive a confirmation message or a notification if the booking is declined.

If you need to cancel your booked trip, you can do so in the “My Bookings” section by selecting “CANCEL“. Please remember to cancel your reservation if you’re not traveling.
